Behind The Scenes ...
Here is what happens when your ask your goof-ball husband to help out with a picture ....
Let me explain! We spent the day with our dear friends Susan and Jamie and their newest addition, baby Mayla. We were trying to simulate a picture Susan had seen and to do that I needed a black backdrop. I don't have a backdrop stand yet, so Sean offered to stand on the sofa and hold the backdrop. Well of course Sean decided to give us all a good laugh ... as we were preparing for the picture he decided to do his version of peek-a-boo and caused us all to nearly wet our pants from laughing so hard! He looks like the boogy man who is about to eat the poor baby! We can always count on Sean for good times!

Gentry Farms
We had a really nice family day today. The weather was beautiful, 85 degrees in October! We headed over to Gentry Farms to pick out some pumpkins and to enjoy the farm. I remember our trip there last year, it was Parker's 1st pumpkin patch trip and he wasn't walking yet. I remember that day so clearly because we had such a wonderful time as a family. I have a picture of the kids at Gentry Farms last year on our bedroom wall and every time Sean and I walk by it we comment on what an amazing day that was. We decided that Gentry Farms is going to be our new family tradition each October. We even got a new wagon to tote Parker and the pumpkins around in this year. The photographer in me kept trying to capture that special picture of both the kids together so that I could hang it up next to last years picture ... but it wasn't easy at all! Parker is all boy and doesn't want to sit still, not even for 5 seconds to take a picture, he's just too quick! He was so excited to see all the pumpkins. He kept calling them "balls" and when he would pick one up he would throw it! He had a hard time sharing his wagon with the pumpkins, he kept picking them up and throwing them out! We also went on a hay ride and the kids just loved that. Parker is amazed by anything with wheels these days so it was really exciting for him to get to go on a hayride. He just loved the tractor that pulled us. He sat on my lap and made the cutest humming sound the entire time! I'm already looking forward to next year's trip. Here are a few pictures of our day ....

Pure Joy
This is a picture I took a few days ago of my friend Susan holding her 6 day old baby girl. It just brings tears of joy to my eyes each time I look at it. There is nothing more special than celebrating a new life! To view all the pictures from this photo session .... go to www.pictage.com/374637 Saturday, October 13, 2007

Evan's Baptism
My little brother Evan was baptised this past Saturday. It was a small private ceremony. I am his God-Mother :) It was so cute to hear him answer back the to the priest and profess his faith all by himself. He is the very first (out of many generations in our family) to be baptised as an "adult". Our family as Catholics have always been baptised as infants, so this was a new experience for us all.

I was in the delivery room both as friend and photographer. Susan, I am amazed at your courage, strength, and the tranquillity you displayed throughout your entire pregnancy and also during the delivery. You are an inspiration to me and I am so blessed to have you as my friend. Susan and Jamie ... Congratulations!!! I am so happy for the both of you and wish you nothing but happiness in your new life with your beautiful baby girl!
