Jaz's wall makeover

It's a fact ... I love birds & owls. It's also a fact that Jaz is getting older and these days usually whatever mom thinks is cool, really isn't so cool to her. I love that we both adored these wall decals and she actually allowed me to put them up in her room ... In fact she wanted me to put them up! It reminded me of the good ole days when Jaz thought I hung the moon and stars and would let me dress her and pick out stuff for her. It's my hope for her that she will continue to develop her own sense of style and personality, but will always remember the basics instilled in her by her mom :)

Flowers for Mommy

Grandma Rita came over this morning to take Parker on a bike ride. When they got back I heard Parker walk up the stairs saying "Mommy, I have something for you" He had brought me back flowers and was so proud. He is such a sweet boy!

My little buddy

During the days when Sissy is at school and Daddy is at work, Parker likes to be wherever I am at all times when we are at home. He is always right by my side. As I was sorting through baby clothes for Easton today, Parker sat in his old rocking chair (that has now been handed down to his little brother) and watched me. He looked so cute, I couldn't resist grabbing the camera!

Bumbo

Parker found Easton's Bumbo seat and decided it makes the perfect little seat for himself!

Swiper

It never fails ... anytime I leave my glass of OJ (only if it's OJ) unattended, Parker will "swipe" my glass and drink every last drop! This picture makes me laugh ... if you look close enough you can see his little face through the bottom of the glass!

Getting ready for Easton!

This past weekend was a productive one for us. After having the carpets cleaned we started moving furniture around and even set up the crib! Furniture wise, Easton's room is ready but still needs some work done before it's complete (decorations put up, clothes, blankets, toys sorted and put away, changing table baskets filled etc..)

Today I sorted through baby clothes ...

I can't wait to put Easton in this sweet little knit sweater/cap set ...

Oh, all the adorable little boy patterns ....

Since the bedding isn't completely set up just yet, here is a sneak peak of the pattern...

We weren't going to do a "theme" with Easton and got him bedding that just had designs on it, but this blanket matched the set and I got to thinking "E" for Easton "E" for Elephants so I have a few design ideas that include elephants ...

.... stay tuned for pictures once Easton's room is complete!

Parker's New Bike

Parker has sadly and officially outgrown his Radio Flyer Tricycle. He has gotten so tall that his poor little legs had to petal around and around very quickly just to maintain a decent speed. He really enjoys playing outside and especially riding his bike around the neighborhood these days. So this past weekend we took him out and got him a big boy bicycle. He loves his new bike and waits ever so patiently throughout the day for when daddy gets home from work to take him on a bike ride. (He has to wait until daddy gets home because 1) it's way too hot during the day and 2) mommy has a hard time keeping up with him these days) Here are a few pics of Parker and his new bike ... He's so cute peddling around on it throughout the neighborhood!

Clarinet

Over the summer, my mother took Jazmyne to a music store and she tried out a few different instruments. It was determined that Jazmyne was best at the clarinet and my mother rented her one.
Now that she is in the 6th grade and band is offered, Jaz decided she wanted to join and she has been assigned to play the clarinet. She has the basics down for now and still has a lot to learn but I am confident she will pick up quickly being this is really something she wants to learn!

Just because :)

Peeking in on Easton - 27 weeks

I just got back from my weekly Ultrasound and so far everything is looking great! After checking and measuring all the important stuff, my super nice Ultrasound tech pulled out the 4d probe to peek in on little Easton. Most of his face was pressed against the placenta so we were not able to get a full face view, but we were able to get a few sweet little peeks of Easton. (For those of you not familiar with 4 d Ultrasounds, don't worry ... Easton doesn't have a huge hole in his head like it appears. It's just the angle of the picture ;)

Here are 2 pictures of Easton's sweet little face (partially covered by the placenta) with his arm/hand right up against his mouth:

And here is one of his pouty little mouth (and pinky finger!):

And his profile:
