Today I felt the baby move for the first time ...

and I fell in love all over again!
____
I also had another ultrasound today. Baby is doing good so nothing to worry about there. I wish I could say the same about the result of the ultrasound. I don't want to go into too many details on this blog but we are keeping our fingers crossed and praying that next weeks ultrasound will be better!

He's on a Mission!

Is it so wrong of me to smile when I see Parker sporting his big boy undies?
Is it wrong to snap a picture of him and all his undie cuteness?

I just can't help myself ... I'm so proud of him and he's so cute!
He's doing GREAT with his potty training so far! It's been exhausting but at least he's caught on fast! Hopefully he'll continue to do well!

Happy Birthday to Us!

My Grandmother's Birthday is April 20th
My Birthday is April 22nd
It's been a while since we've been able to celebrate together like we used to (since she's moved to Italy)
We had cake to celebrate tonight
And by golly Parker ate cake for the 1st time! No JOKE, the boy has never eaten cake before, he normally refuses it like it's the plague! He only ate 2 bites, but hey it's a start. He really doesn't care for sweets ... what's wrong with my boy?
*** excuse me for not putting make up on OR brushing my hair ... geeze I look aweful! I guess that's what first trimester sickness does to you! HA

Potty Training, take 1!

The day has finally come.

I think Parker is finally ready to potty train.

After we got home from school he went straight into big boy undies.

He had 4 successful pees, and 2 accidents (1 of each kind if you KWIM, gross I know)

I'm really proud of him, it's taken him a little longer than expected
but I think we are finally on the road to potty training!

I'm prepared for a long few weeks ahead.

I'm ready for a "diaper" break before the baby comes!

When asked to see his big boy undies, he modeled them for me ...

Wish US luck!!

Winding Down

It's rare to see the kids cuddling these days. Usually it's because Parker doesn't want to sit still anymore and Jaz is always after him to cuddle. After playing hard outside (and a few scrapes on Jaz) the kids came in and when Parker saw Jazmyne crying, he ran up to sit and cuddle with his big Sis ... just like old times. It was really sweet!
And of course I just couldn't resist a few pics (thank goodness for cell phone cameras!)

Rocks with Nono

Parker LOVES to go outside and collect rocks in his dump truck. The other day he convinced my grandfather to help him.

Parker and his GREAT-Grandfather (Nono Mario)

Little Buddies

These 2 made me laugh the other day. I had to make a quick Walmart run with the both the boys in tow and they were being so silly in the cart together. They were having a blast!Parker thinks it's the funniest thing to blow peoples hair. Aidan's hair was no exception!
Silly boys!

3rd Ultrasound

Baby was VERY active today. In fact he/she was so active that the Ultrasound tech had a hard time freezing a picture to print and to measure the baby! I'm sure the fact that I had a ton of Smarties candies on the drive over didn't help! LOL (I've been craving Smarties lately .. odd!) Today was my 3rd ultrasound. Unfortunately for my 2nd ultrasound last week we were able to get some really good and clear pictures of the baby but the printer was broken so there were no pictures to take home :( I've been having some unexplained spotting so it was a HUGE relief to see that the baby is doing well.

11 weeks, 2 days.

A First!

Our little man is not your average child. This may sounds silly and has baffled us from the start but he refuses to eat most things that kids usually can't get enough of! He won't eat candy, chocolate, cake and ice cream just to name a few things. We've tried and tried and have even gone so far as to force it or even sneak it into his mouth in hopes that once he gets a taste of the sweetness he would realize what he's been missing out on but he just spits it right out every time. The poor little guy has never even eaten his own birthday cake!

For example: Here is his Easter Candy. He was so excited to play with it but refused to eat it ...

Well tonight we stopped for an Ice Cream treat. Even though Parker refuses to eat ice cream, we always get him his own in hopes that he will one day decide he wants to eat it. Usually he will get a spoon full, stick out his tongue and touch the tip of it out to the ice cream, make a funny face and shake, and then put the spoon down and push the ice cream away. Tonight started out no differently but it sure did end up in a miracle .... with a little persuasion, PARKER ACTUALLY ATE HIS ENTIRE CUP OF ICE CREAM!!!

And boy did he ENJOY it!
He was on a sugar high for the rest of the night ...
after all he has NEVER eaten that much sugar!
