Brush those teeth!

Bye-Bye Paci!

It has officially been 24 hours that Parker has been with out his Paci! Hooray for Parker!!! I decided to go cold turkey on him yesterday and much to my surprise he has been really good about it. He even slept through the night with out it last night! He has asked for it a few times here and there and all I say is "bye-bye paci" and quickly divert his attention to something else and he has been very accepting of that. I have to admit I was not expecting it to go this well! He is very attached to his paci and has NEVER gone to sleep with out it. He is notorious for hiding them but I am hoping that I have found the last of his stash. I found 4 of them tucked down the side of his mattress! I hope that this Paci intervention continues to go as well as it has been. I am so very proud of my little man!!!

UPDATE: Tomorrow will be 1 week and still NO PACI! Mission Accomplished! He still will ask for it every so often, but when you tell him it went bye-bye, he accepts it and no crying! Way to go Parker!

Jazmyne has a dream ...

I was looking through some school papers that Jazmyne brought home the other day and I came across this paper that she wrote for MLK day entitled "I Have A Dream". I thought it was so sweet.

"I have a dream to help sick people and to cure them. I want to help sick people because less people will die and I would be saving people's lives. I would also like to help sick people because I know people don't like being sick plus they need to be cured soon. That is my dream"

Wow! Maybe we have a future doctor in the family!

Happy Birthday Parker!

Happy birthday to our little man! It's hard to believe that 2 years have passed so quickly. You have brought so much joy and happiness to our lives and have made each day magical. We have enjoyed every minute of life with you. You are truely a little miracle and we love you more than words can ever describe. No matter how old you are, you will always be our little man, Parker-Bean!

Snow!

We woke up to the pleasent suprise of snow! School was called off and the kids enjoyed watching it snow. Unfortunatly they didn't get to go outside and play in it because Jazmyne was recovering from an ear infection, Parker was recovering from a bit of a cold so it was just too cold to let them go out. I hope we have at least one more snow day before winter is over so the kids can actually get to play in some!

"What does a kid have to do to get something to eat around here?"

I was unloading groceries and turn around to find Parker sitting in the refrigerator. You can usually find him tugging at the refrigerator door begging for cheese.

Cuddle time with Mommy. I know I am biased, but is this not just totally sweet? This particular day it was getting close to nap time and we were rocking in his chair and watching the rain from his bedroom window. I'm so glad I had the camera near by. I can't imagine that there will come a time where he will be too big to rock with me. **Insert mommy tears here**
