New Year's Eve {2012}

Easton and I spent New Year's Eve at the doctor's office while Jaz and Parker waited at home, and Daddy worked. We've definitely had better NYE's. Although Easton has bronchitis and
was having a hard time breathing, he remained in good spirits.  He truly is such a happy little guy. He reminds us to look at the bright side of things and to count our blessings!

Later on, after we got back home, Jaz went out ...
Parker went to bed, and Easton stayed up for breathing treatments ... and to party with mom!

Life has been B.U.S.Y.
And here it is, Christmas time, ALREADY!!
I started this blog as a way to document my children's lives.  At the end of each year, I have it printed and bound into a hardcover book, similar to a yearbook.  It's so important to me to capture the kids' milestones and our lives in pictures.  With a crazy schedule and 3 kids, it's so easy to forget the little details of our lives that I want to make sure to always remember. I want the kids to be able to look back at these albums when they are older and reminisce over our time together as a family and to see just how they have grown over the years.  I do plan to continue this blog, it  may just take me longer than I'd like to go back and catch up.  I have thousands of pictures from this year and so much to catch up on.  It has definitely been an eventful year! Technology these days has made it so easy and convenient to capture pictures and videos in an instant. I love that I can keep my iPhone in my pocket and pull it out in and instant to capture a special moment. Finding the time to organize them and post here is a different story ;-) HA! Feel free to check in from time to time to see how much the kids have grown and to read about what they have been up to.  As I play catch up, posts will be in chronological order and may be scattered to accommodate the correct date. From our family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Prom Fashion Show

Jazmyne modeled a prom dress for the prom teen fashion show at Dillards this afternoon.
This mama isn't ready to think about prom ... high school is hard enough!
She sure did rock the runway though and I'm SO very proud of her!

She had her makeup done professionally, by a MAC consultant, courtesy of Dillards!

These pictures don't do the dress color any justice, it was beautiful!

Introducing Jazmyne ...
+
After the fashion show, the girls were asked to walk around the mall and hand out fliers for Dillards.  Evan had fun teasing Jazmyne ....
Modeling is hard work!  I caught Jaz snoozing on the sofa afterwards.  She is not a big nap person, so I knew she was worn out when I saw her like this ...

Hair

Easton LOVES hair.
It comforts him.
It's like a blanky, or paci, or a special stuffed animal that some kids are attached to.
Whenever he drinks, he uses one had to hold his cup and the other is always playing with his hair, or, he'll come find me and twirl my hair.
Whenever I am holding him, he is usually holding a piece of my hair.
Here he is pictured rubbing my hair on his face ... and then licking it!
He usually doesn't lick it, he was just being extra silly.
I wonder how long he'll be attached to my hair?
Something tells me he's going to favor brunettes when he's older ;-)

"Dirty boys are happy boys"

"Dirty boys are happy boys" was the text I received from Ashley tonight, as she was watching the boys for us.  Sean's mother sadly passed away this afternoon and we needed some time to collect our thoughts and meet up with  family who was in town for dinner to process everything. I am so thankful and grateful for such a dear friend who takes such good care of our boys, like they are her own, during times like these.

The boys had a blast playing together and apparently they got really dirty playing in the backyard.

This is the picture she texted to me ...

After letting the boys play and answering Parker's question, "What is Heaven like?", she gave all 4 boys a bath.  She is a BRAVE woman to tackle such a chore! Huge thanks to her and her husband for watching our sweet boys for us tonight.

Future brain surgeons?

The boys both stopped and watched this interactive demo on the brain today as we walked by it at the doctor's office.  Parker was especially intrigued and kept asking questions. He really wanted to understand how the human brain works. It was really cute! Future brain surgeon?  Just maybe!

No cavities!

Jaz and Parker had dentist appointments today.  Both did great and no cavities! Yay!

Jaz is in the background, having x-rays done, and wearing the smiley face drape. I wish I could have captured her expression up close.  Let's just say it may be time to start looking into a more "mature" dental office for her. The smiley face drape had her rolling her eyes. It was actually quite amusing ... for me! We just love our pediatric dental office!

Jaz, on the left, and Parker getting their teeth cleaned, at the same time :
This boy has come a long way!  Makes me so proud seeing him so independent!  He did great for both the dentist assistant and dentist!
