Look who's almost 2!!

I remember when Jazmyne was little she went thorough different phases where she was insistent on what her name was and what she wanted to be called. First it was "Jazzy". You couldn't call her Jazmyne or Jaz ... it had to be "Jazzy" or you were quickly corrected by the feisty little curly haired brunette. Then after a while it was "Jaz" ... "Just Jaz" as she would inform you. Finally, by about the time she started kindergarten she was OK with her full name, Jazmyne. It's hard to look at these pictures I took today and think that she was once that feisty sweet little chubby curly haired brunette whose favorite color was yellow. My how time passes so quickly and with the blink of an eye my sweet little baby girl is growing up.

Firestation Fun!

Yesterday Parker and I met up with our Playgroup buddies and took a tour of the local firestation. Parker is facinated with firetrucks so he was really excited to get to see some up close. It took him a little while to warm up but towards the end he was really getting excited and especially loved exploring all the gages on the side of the firetruck.

Cold days call for lots of playing inside!

It has been incredibly cold the past few days! I'm starting to get a bad case of cabin fever ... yuck! Our weekday mornings consist of getting Jaz ready for school, seeing Daddy off to work, breakfast time, Mommy's computer time and then Parker and I are off to play for the day! As frustrating as it has been lately to not be able to not be able to go outside with out having to get bundled up to the point where you just rather stay inside where it's nice and warm & toasty, I have been trying to make the best of our days by playing with my little man. I know that there will come a time where playing with mommy just isn't cool anymore :( Here are some pictures of our day together yesterday ...

It's odd to think that there was once was a time where I wondered if I would be a good mommy to a little boy. Now, I just can't imagine my life with out my little man. For so many years, I only knew life with my little girl. I didn't think I would be good at getting down on the floor and playing cars, trucks, dinosaurs, and all the toys that little boys play with. Much to my surprise it's actually fun! Let's just say that God knows what he's doing, he blessed my life with both a girl and a boy. Both of whom I can't imagine life without.
