Big

Easton is a BIG baby already!
-
I am 35 weeks pregnant ....
-
According to today's Ultrasound measurements, Easton weighs 6lb 14oz
-
The doctors added 1 more week to my delivery (C-Cection) date which puts me @ 39 weeks for delivery UNLESS I go into labor on my own before that.
-
.... Goodness, Easton may come out a 10 pound baby, and that's NO JOKE!
-
So ... I hope & pray that I don't have to go another 4 weeks and that Easton will come just a tad earlier and just as healthy.

Chubby Cheeks

My heart melted today when I saw Easton on Ultrasound. I can't wait to kiss those chubby little cheeks of his! And that little wrinkle under his bottom lip is just ADORABLE!
Here are a few more pics ... they're not as good as the first one, but still give a pretty good glimpse of our sweet boy ...

I'm Daddy!

Parker came up to me this morning (wearing Daddy's hat and shoes) and said: "Look at me, I'm Daddy!"

Big Brother

I often wonder how Parker is going to react when Easton actually arrives. He has been very much a part of this pregnancy and usually comes with me to my weekly ultrasounds and doctor appointments. He sees Easton on the Ultrasound screen and will usually say Hi and point out all of his body parts. A while back Parker was laying on my lap and Easton kicked and Parker exclaimed with excitement "Easton just kicked my head!" It was a really sweet moment. Parker has also been watching very closely as we get Easton's room ready. Lately I have started to wonder if he will be a bit jealous once his little brother actually arrives. After all, Parker, being the youngest right now is used to being the center of attention around here. And even though, he will always receive and abundance of love and attention from us, I wonder how his new role as middle child will play out. With Jaz things are different as she is older now and understands things. She was the center of attention for 7 1/2 years and really had no problem adjusting to her role as "oldest" once Parker arrived. It was easy to sit and explain to her that no matter how much love and attention we give to Parker (and now Easton too) we will always love her equally and with all our hearts. I just pray that Parker will know and feel this from us too.
_____________
The other day as I was getting ready, I noticed that Parker was awfully quiet. Being that he is ALWAYS by my side or at least within my sight, I just knew he was up to something sneaky. At first I couldn't find him until I walked into Easton's room and saw this ...

I'm not sure if the foot hanging out or the fact that he gathered his 2 stools from different rooms in the house to be able to climb into the crib on his own made me laugh more!

I asked him what he was doing in Easton's crib and he quickly corrected me "This was MY crib when I was a baby Mommy". See what I mean, I hope he isn't too jealous when Easton arrives!

Go Jaz!

I had a parent/teacher conference with Jaz's 6th grade teacher yesterday. All I have to say is that I'm so proud of Jazmyne. She is doing so well in school! 4 A's and 2 B's! And what impressed me even more is that she received a 100 in Math! Her teacher just loves her and said she is a joy to have in class. She gets along with just about everybody. I couldn't be more proud of Jaz right now and can't wait to see what the future holds for her. Now, just a little less sass towards mommy would be icing on the cake ;) hehehe

Parker's 1st Day

Today was Parker's 1st day of MDO for the '09-'10 school year. This is his 2nd year attending the program and he was very excited to go to school this morning. In fact he was so excited, he couldn't stand or sit still for pictures (as you can see below). He had a great 1st day and didn't even cry when I left him!! When I picked him up this afternoon, his teacher told me he did great, the only thing was that during Bible class (they switch classrooms and have a new teacher) he sat under the table and didn't want to come out ... so she let him sit there for the entire Bible class! Not sure what his deal was with that?!?! The only thing I can think of is that he likes "sameness" and possibly the change of classrooms made him a little shy (even though he knows and loves his bible teacher) Whatever it was didn't change his mind about his school, because he is excited to go back on Thursday!

And here he is with his best buddy Aidan right before school started ...

Aren't they so cute?!?!
